Curriculum Vitae

Jamie has run D-65 for the past 16 years with, Seth Resnick. She loves teaching workflow, and her speciality is organization. As well as teaching the Lightroom Workshops, she works one-on-one with people directing them in their workflow and cleaning up their “mess”. Jamie also teaches yoga and meditation, and has received her 200 hour YRT and is working towards her 500 hour. Working with people is her passion.
Jamie started her career working with the world’s biggest names in photography, producing and directing around the globe. Her contacts and production skills are second to none and her passport reads like a diplomat’s. From 1999 to the summer of 2002, she produced the highly acclaimed Photo Mentor Series Workshops at American Photo and Popular Photography Magazines, (Hachette Filipacchi Media), After receiving her BS in photojournalism, and traveling the world photographing unique culture and indigenous people, such as the Australian Aborigines and the women of Bali, Jamie landed her first industry position as a photo assistant in a leading commercial photo studio in New York City. She then moved on to studio management, worked as a photo editor for Elle Magazine and then went on to produce Barnstorm: The Eddie Adams Workshop. Jamie formed Blue Productions, which produced advertising campaigns, product launches and special events for top market leaders, including Jaguar, United Airlines and ESPN.
Originally from New Jersey, Jamie began practicing yoga in 2001 when she moved to Miami Beach. She taught digital workflow workshops for years, and the idea of teaching yoga as well as photography began to take hold. She began training with Core Power Yoga in Colorado in 2006, has taken countless workshops and trainings in yoga and meditation, and recently completed her 200 hour RYT certification at Native Yoga in Juno Beach. Jamie also has been practicing meditation for the past five years, after trying unsuccessfully ten years to get a practice going. By being gentle on herself, and continuing to sit daily, her practice began to flourish. Since that time, it has changed her world, and the benefits are contagious to everyone surrounding her. Amazed at how the practice helped her achieve a much needed personal balance, she began to do more studying on the subject, and that’s when the idea of sharing meditation with others took hold. She believes that by quieting the mind through practice, we gain a sense of ease and contentment with the world around us. Her greatest guides are her two kids, who are constant reminders to stay in the present moment, and breathe.
She handles every event with contagious enthusiasm, heart, creativity and exceptional skill. With her sophisticated production style, Jamie has created the innovative and much needed programs offered by D-65.
